The Udaipur Collection
14 looksInspired by the royal collections of Udaipur — lehengas and menswear photographed in the city, in rooms hung with miniature paintings and courtyards of carved wood.
Udaipur, the City of Lakes
Udaipur is built around lakes and palaces, and is known for the Mewar tradition of miniature painting, which decorates rooms as well as manuscripts. This collection is inspired by the royal collections of the city and was photographed there: in rooms hung with framed paintings, through carved wooden arches, across black-and-white marble floors, and in a courtyard.
What the photographs show
A red lehenga with a pink dupatta framed by a painted arch; a lime-green top over a cream skirt; a blue sleeveless top worked with pearls; teal with a cream net dupatta; navy with white net; red with a cream woven dupatta. The men wear a blue sherwani worked with gold birds, a black one with gold birds, a floral ivory coat, an aubergine sherwani with floral motifs and a cream jacket. Close-ups of embroidery and jewellery sit between the full-length frames.
Choosing from it
This is the collection to look at for menswear beside womenswear: several looks are shown as pairs. If your function is indoors — a haveli, a hall, a family home — it shows how red, teal and navy sit in warm indoor light.

Ordering from The Udaipur Collection
What is in The Udaipur Collection?
Inspired by the royal collections of Udaipur — lehengas and menswear photographed in the city, in rooms hung with miniature paintings and courtyards of carved wood. It shows 14 looks. A look is one distinct outfit, so several photographs of the same outfit count once.
Can I still order a piece from The Udaipur Collection?
Yes. Any of its 14 looks can be made now, cut to your own measurements — nothing here was made in advance, so there is no stock to run out of.
How long does a The Udaipur Collection order take?
A bridal order takes four weeks at most, start to finish, from the first discussion to delivery. Six to eight weeks before the wedding is comfortable, and from November to February the studio is booked months ahead.
Nothing here was made in advance. Any of it can be made for you, cut to your own measurements.
